New Orleans Does the Super Bowl
Sunday February 7, 2010 is a date that will live in New Orleans Lore for decades to come. On that day the Saints, the city's beloved NFL team, played and won the Super Bowl for the first time in its history.
For New Orleans, a sense of renewal had filled the air. The city had finally moved past the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. The future for the Big Easy at last seemed brighter. The following photo essay documents in small part what went on Super Bowl weekend as citizens of the "who dat nation" savored a long elusive victory.
